ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

This document provides guidance for preparing and submitting abstracts to the First International Congress on Halal and Health-Oriented Products. Authors should use the official abstract template and consult the Congress website for the latest announcements and requirements.

1. General Requirements

Submitted abstracts should be original and relevant to at least one of the Congress scientific themes. Abstracts must be written in clear, concise, scientifically appropriate English. The abstract body must not exceed 500 words; the title, author names, affiliations, corresponding author details, and keywords are excluded from the word count. Authors should follow the official abstract template and are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the submitted information.

2. Scientific Content

The abstract should clearly describe the research background and objectives, materials and methods, principal results, and conclusions. Where applicable, results should include relevant numerical data or statistical findings. Conclusions must be supported by the results presented. Authors should clearly explain the relevance of their work to halal products, health-oriented products, related technologies, standards, or industrial applications.

3. Research Ethics and Integrity

Research involving human participants, human biological samples, or animals must comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional requirements. Where required, ethics approval and informed consent should be obtained. Authors must avoid plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and duplicate submission. All listed authors should have made an appropriate contribution to the work and approved the submitted version.

4. Authorship and Affiliations

Authors should be listed in the order agreed upon by all contributors. Each author’s institutional affiliation must be stated accurately and linked using superscript numbers. One author must be designated as the corresponding author, with a valid email address. The corresponding author is responsible for communication with the Congress Secretariat concerning the submission.

5. Submission Procedure

Abstracts should be submitted through the official Congress submission platform at https://halalcongress.ir. Before submission, authors should check the word count, language, formatting, scientific content, and author details. Submission does not guarantee acceptance. Any revisions requested by the Scientific Committee should be completed within the timeframe communicated by the Secretariat.

6. Review and Acceptance

Submitted abstracts are subject to review by the Congress Scientific Committee. Review may consider relevance to the Congress themes, originality, scientific quality, methodological appropriateness, clarity, and contribution to the field. The Committee determines acceptance and, where applicable, the presentation format. The corresponding author will be notified using the contact information provided during submission. The precise review procedures and presentation arrangements are subject to official Congress announcements.
